06-12-24 Plan Commission Meeting

PLAN COMMISSION MEETING, June 12, 2024

The regular meeting of the Town Plan Commission for the Town of St. Croix Falls was called to order by Chairman Mike Dorsey at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Town Hall.  Proper notice was given as the notice was published in the May 29, 2024, and June 5, 2024, editions of the Inter County Leader.  The agenda was posted at the town hall and on the town’s website June 6, 2024.  The Pledge of Allegiance was said.  Present by roll call were Chairman Mike Dorsey, members Jeremy Appel, Dave Berg, Stacy Bergmann, Rick Katzmark, Kevin Rector and Kyle Yunker.  Member Gus Koecher was absent.  Also present were town clerk Janet Krueger and legal counsel Adam Jarchow.  Others present were Robert Hoglund and Jordan Meierhofer.

Yunker/Katzmark moved to approve the agenda; motion carried.  Katzmark/Berg moved to approve the April 10, 2024, meeting minutes; motion carried.

Public comment was had:  Mr. Hoglund stated he was present for the minor subdivision and Mr. Meierhofer state he was present for the special exception request.

Public Hearing – Special Exception request for distribution of sheds and concrete tables at 1566 State Highway 35.  The public hearing opened at 6:03 p.m.  Mr. Meierhofer presented his request/plan to display and distribute tables and sheds.  No comments were made from public.  The public hearing closed at 6:04 p.m.

Yunker/Bergmann moved to recommend Town Board approval of the special exception request to distribute sheds and concrete tables at 1566 State Highway 35 with conditions that there will be no office in the sheds being displayed; the special exception shall terminate upon the sale or transfer of ownership of either the parcel of land or the business itself; and any formal complaint lodged against the use in the first year of operation will lead to an automatic review of the special exception by the plan commission and/or town board at the next possible meeting; and the business will obey all laws and maintain all proper licenses and permits; motion carried on a unanimous roll-call vote, 7-0.

Public Hearing – Minor Subdivision of parcel 044-00372-0000, Section 16, into two lots with Lot 1 consisting of 10.45 acres and Lot 2 consisting of 3.82 acres.  The public hearing opened at 6:06 p.m.  The property owner Robert Hoglund presented his request to divide parcel 044-00372-0000.  No comments were made from the public.  The public hearing closed at 6:07 p.m.

Rector/Katzmark moved to recommend Town Board approval of the minor subdivision as presented; motion carried on a unanimous roll-call vote, 7-0.

There being no further business, Yunker/Katzmark moved to adjourn the meeting; motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 6:14 p.m.
