PLAN COMMISSION MEETING, November 13, 2024

The regular meeting of the Town Plan Commission for the Town of St. Croix Falls was called to order by Chairman Mike Dorsey at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the Town Hall.  Proper notice was given as the notice was published in the October 30, 2024, edition of the Inter County Leader.  The agenda was posted at the town hall and on the town’s website November 8, 2024.  The Pledge of Allegiance was said.  Present by roll call were Chairman Mike Dorsey, members Jeremy Appel, Dave Berg, Stacy Bergmann, Rick Katzmark, Gus Koecher and Frank Behning.  Member Kevin Rector was absent.  Also present were town clerk Janet Krueger and legal counsel Adam Jarchow.  Others present were Steve Figlmiller and John Koch.

Katzmark/Bergmann moved to approve the agenda; motion carried.  Berg/Koecher moved to approve the September 11, 2024, meeting minutes; motion carried.

Public comment – Mr. Figlmiller stated he is a commercial property owner.  Mr. Koch stated he is a potential business owner.

Public Hearing – Amendments to the town’s zoning ordinance with the addition of two new special exception uses were read.  The public hearing opened at 6:04 p.m.  No comments were made.  The public hearing closed at 6:04 p.m.

Berg/Koecher moved to recommend Town Board approval of the following two special exception uses to the commercial district of the town’s zoning ordinance:  1) Retail of storage sheds, mobile homes, manufactured homes, and modular homes provided a permanent structure for retail sales and business shall be located on the property; and 2) Any other uses similar in character to the permitted or special exception uses in the commercial district provided a permanent structure for the retail sales and business shall be located on the property; motion carried on a unanimous roll-call vote, 7-0.

There was no closing public comment.

There being no further business, Katzmark/Berg moved to adjourn the meeting; motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 6:16 p.m.
