Annual Town Meeting – April 16, 2024

The Annual Town Meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, by Chairman Mike Dorsey.  Electors present were Katie Appel, Will Bergmann, Mike Dorsey, Alan and Ginny Frokjer, Jeremy Hall, Anthony Kreft, Maggie Malon, Brent Priebe, Joel Yunker and Kyle Yunker.  Others in attendance were legal counsel Adam Jarchow; highway employee Steve Jacobs and town clerk Janet Krueger.

The following additions were added to the agenda:  1) Propose a road maintenance ordinance; and 2) Request town no longer uses the Taylor Gravel Pit.  Kyle Yunker/Anthony Kreft moved to approve the agenda; motion carried.

The minutes of the 2024 annual town meeting and the 2024 special town meetings were reviewed.  Jeremy Hall/Kyle Yunker moved to approve the 2024 minutes; motion carried.

The 2024 Financial Report was presented.

Jeremy Hall/Will Bergmann moved to contribute $2,000.00 to the St. Croix Town/Village Cemetery for 2026; motion carried.

Kyle Yunker/Ginny Frokjer moved to authorize the Town Board to borrow up to $10,000 for general operating expenses in the event of a cash flow problem; motion carried.

The 2025 tax levy (collectable in 2026) and setting board and officer salaries were deferred to the November 2025 Special Town Meeting.

Al Frokjer/Ginny Frokjer moved to set the 2026 Annual Town Meeting for Wednesday, April 22, 2026; motion carried.

Added agenda items (advisory).  Kyle Yunker/Jeremy Hall moved to have a town road maintenance ordinance; motion carried.  Kyle Yunker/Will Bergmann moved to stop using the Taylor Gravel Pit; motion Carried.

Kyle Yunker/Alan Frokjer moved to adjourn the Annual Town Meeting at 7:30 p.m.; motion carried.
