BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS MEETING, May 21, 2026
A meeting of the Town Board of Adjustments for the Town of St. Croix Falls was called to order by Chairman Angela Behning at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Town Hall. Proper notice was given as the notice was published in the May 6, 2026, and May 13, 2026, editions of the Inter County Leader and was posted at the town hall and on the town’s website May 4, 2026. The Pledge of Allegiance was said. Present by roll call were Chairman Angela Behning, members Ron Micek, Robert Todd and Joel Yunker. Also present was town clerk Janet Krueger. Others present were Stephanie Eckerman, Nathan Waterworth, Brian Poscu and Dave Pepper.
Joel Yunker/Robert Todd moved to approve the agenda; motion carried.
Public Hearing – Request for an area variance to allow a structure within the highway setback at 1317 182nd Street located in the residential district.
The public hearing opened at 6:03 p.m. Property owner Stephanie Eckerman and her builders Nathan Waterworth and Brian Poscu presented the variance request for a structure within the highway setback. The public hearing closed at 6:36 p.m.
The findings of facts were completed. Robert Todd/Joel Yunker moved to grant the an area variance from Zoning Ordinance No. 1, Chapter IV, Section D,7 per the finding of facts; motion carried on a unanimous roll-call vote, 4-0.
Public Hearing – Request for an area variance to allow a 2.05 acre parcel at 1788 190thStreet located in the agricultural district. The public hearing opened at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Peper presented the variance request to create a parcel less than the minimum allowable lot size in the agricultural district. The public hearing closed at 7:13 p.m.
The findings of facts were completed. Angela Behning/Joel Yunker moved to deny the area variance from Zoning Ordinance No. 1, Chapter III, Section C, 2 (a) per the finding of facts; motion carried on a roll-call vote, 3-1 (Yeas: Behning, Todd, & Yunker; Nays: Micek).
There being no further business, Joel Yunker/Robert Todd moved to adjourn the meeting; motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 7:19 p.m.
